Windows 11 will finally give you greater control over HDR features
Microsoft has released Windows 11 Build 27686 with some hidden HDR-related changes.
As noticed by Phantom on X, one of the hidden features is the ability to "allow HDR video streaming even when HDR is off."
As the name suggests, this basically allows you to stream HDR content without enabling HDR for the entire system.

Additionally, the "HDR video streaming" label under Display capabilities has been updated to "HDR video streaming, games, apps and more," which seems to suggest more HDR-related features are coming.
Other improvements in Windows 11 Build 27686
A minor but noteworthy visual change has been made in the Disks & Volumes settings.
The "Create volume" button for unallocated disk space now features rounded corners, and the chevron icon animates when clicked.
Build 27686 also adds support for ReFS (Resilient File System) version 3.15. However, it’s important to note that Windows still formats partitions using version 3.14, which was introduced in an earlier build (26047).
In addition to these quality improvements, Build 27686 confirmed that a future release of Windows 11 will remove 32GB size limit for FAT32 partitions, allowing for a maximum size of 2TB.
